The Corporation du patrimoine et du tourisme religieux de Québec watches over the animation, interpretation and enhancement of religious heritage in the Québec City region. It offers site and thematic tours in relation to Notre-Dame de Québec.
Inside the Basilica-Cathedral, visitors also are to discover, accompanied by a guide, a crypt where over 1,000 people are buried, including Frontenac and three other French governors. This well-known crypt was built and completed in 1952. Bishops, archbishops, cardinals (including Bishop Taschereau, the first cardinal of Canada), and many priests and lay people are buried there.
